Covering just one chapter today in Matthew chapter 18, reading from the ESV by Crossway

translation, and Jesus is teaching his disciples all about kingdom living and what that

looks like and really it just stems from humility.

very good. So Heavenly Father, thank you for this opportunity to be able to open up your word. We praise you and honor you and love you so much. We thank you for being our father who graciously pours out mercy and love every single day. You give us brand new mercies. When we think about what that truly means, it is awe-inspiring. It is mind-blowing because we don't deserve it, Lord,

but we are grateful for it. And so thank you for the breath that is in our lungs today. Please forgive us for our sins, and we just ask that you will do a work in us, a cleansing work, a purifying work, so that we can be made righteous and holy before you. And we want to walk that out, Lord. We don't want to just ask you to make changes in us, yet we decide that we're not going to follow along with it. We need to partner with you. And so we do that today in our minds, in our spirits, in our hearts, Lord. Help us to also forgive others. That's a big one. We're going to talk about it today. We know it's important to you. So let it be important to us as well.

And Lord, please don't lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. We know that the enemy is

going to try to have his way, especially when we start making changes for the good. And so we just

ask that your angels will protect us, guard us, ward off any of the attacks that he might be trying to bring against us.

So thank you again for this daily manner, this daily word. We just pray that it will nourish us and

feed us so that we are satisfied and we have everything that we need to go throughout our day

and throughout this week. We love you so much. I pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen. So once again,
