0:00.0	Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.
0:07.0	After Jesus appoints the 12 apostles, they start going around to their hometown's preaching.
0:18.0	While they're going from town to town, J.T.B seems to be having an internal struggle.
0:22.0	He has seen the spirit descend on Jesus like a dove.
0:25.2	He has heard the voice of the Father affirm Jesus as his son. But then Jesus went away into the
0:30.4	wilderness and JTB got thrown into prison. Their paths barely crossed and now JTB keeps hearing
0:36.0	about how Jesus is doing all these miracles for everyone. Surely if Jesus is the Messiah
0:40.8	he'll actually come and do some miracles to get him out of prison right?
0:44.3	Maybe that's not what JTB is thinking. Maybe he just needs to be reminded that his life
0:48.4	hasn't been wasted because his entire life has been about pointing to the Messiah. We don't know what JTB was thinking.
0:55.2	All we know is that he sends messengers to ask Jesus to confirm or deny that he is the Messiah.
1:00.5	Personally, I don't think this is doubt. I just think this is despair.
1:04.0	Jesus sends a message back, telling the messengers to let J.T.B. know they've seen Jesus do the things Isaiah said the Messiah would do when he comes.
1:12.0	He quotes prophecies J.T.B. things Isaiah said the Messiah would do when he comes.
1:13.0	He quotes prophecies JTB probably would have known by heart, but he leaves off a part of
1:17.6	the prophecy that almost certainly caught JTB's attention, the part where the prisoners
1:21.6	get set free.
1:23.4	I cannot imagine how it felt to be on the receiving end of this message.
1:26.8	Yes, I'm the Messiah Isaiah prophesied about and the one you pointed toward.
1:30.4	It has all been fulfilled.
1:32.2	But you will die in prison.
1:34.0	Jesus ends by saying,
