0:13.2	Three days ago, on day 230, we first read about a potential plot to kill Judah's new
0:17.6	governor, Gedalaya.
0:19.4	Some of his military leaders told him that one of his trusted insiders, a member of the
0:23.1	royal family named Ishmael, was going to assassinate him.
0:26.8	But Gedalaya didn't believe the report.
0:29.2	And on day 231, we found out the report was true.
0:32.2	And today, we read the full account of how it all went down.
0:35.6	Not only did Ishmael and his crew kill Governor Gedalaya, but they also killed a lot of other
0:40.0	people in the process, including Judeans and Babylonian soldiers.
0:44.3	The next day, ADN's suspecting men come to bring grain offerings, and Ishmael fakes
0:48.8	grief and invites them in.
0:50.8	Then he starts round two of his mass murdering.
0:53.6	He decides to spare ten of the men who bribe him with promises of food and provisions.
0:58.2	Then Ishmael takes all the bodies and disposes of them in his sister.
1:02.5	His next move is to take everyone else captive, then force them all to move east with him
1:06.6	across the Jordan River.
1:08.1	But on their way there, they run into Johanon.
1:11.1	He's the guy who originally gave Gedalaya the heads up about Ishmael's plan.
1:15.9	Johanon and his crew fight against Ishmael and his crew, and defeat them.
1:19.7	The captives get set free, but Ishmael escapes.
1:23.2	At this point, these people are living in a land that has erupted in chaos, and they're
