0:07.0	Today we finished our 27th book of the Bible. These minor prophets like Habakk
0:17.8	are really helping get our numbers up. Habakk is a prophet in the Southern
0:22.1	Kingdom of Judah prior to the Babylonian exile.
0:24.9	He lived and prophesied around the same time as the minor prophet Zephania from day to 18
0:29.6	and the major prophet Jeremiah from lots of days. As we've talked about before,
0:34.0	prophets are like mediators between God and his people. We usually think of
0:38.3	prophets as talking to people on behalf of God, but Habakic works from the other end of the spectrum. He talks to God on behalf of the people.
0:46.0	Habakik is focused on justice, and he brings his complaints about injustice to God.
0:51.0	God is concerned about justice too, so great, they're on the same page.
0:55.0	But just because they care about the same thing doesn't mean they have the same ideas about how that thing should be accomplished.
1:01.0	Habak mistakenly thinks God isn't listening to his
1:04.8	prayer since God isn't doing what he asks. He's like, God are you seeing what I'm
1:09.2	seeing? If so, why aren't you doing anything about it?
1:12.9	Habakk forgets that God's no is also an answer to prayer.
1:17.4	God can hear him.
1:18.5	God is listening.
1:19.8	God just denies his request. In this conversation we encounter a verse that's often taken out of context.
1:26.6	Chapter 1, verse 5 says,
1:28.6	Look among the nations and see, wonder and be astounded, for I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.
1:36.8	I've heard entire sermons and series based on this verse as though it's painting a beautiful
1:40.8	picture. You wouldn't believe the wonderful works God is doing. But probably
