0:13.3	Today we hit one of the most important sections of prophecy in the Old Testament.
0:17.2	I can't wait to talk about those sections, but let's start in chapter 49.
0:21.1	First, you may be wondering who exactly the text is referring to when it uses the word
0:25.6	coastlands.
0:27.1	One of the first verses we read said, listen to me, oh coastlands, the general opinion
0:31.9	is that this is a catch all word for all the nations of the world reaching to the far
0:36.1	corners of the earth.
0:37.9	God tells Israel, I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach
0:43.4	to the end of the earth.
0:45.4	He says that although Israel is a despised nation, he's chosen them and will use them to
0:49.9	bless all the nations that despise them.
0:52.7	So how will he do that and what exactly has he chosen them for?
0:57.5	He's chosen them to be the lineage of the Messiah, and that Messiah will save people from
1:02.4	among every nation.
1:04.3	His love will reach to those who hate him and the people of his lineage, and then he
1:08.5	will turn his enemies into his family.
1:12.3	In the meantime though, Israel feels forgotten and ashamed, waiting can feel shameful and
1:18.3	lonely.
1:19.3	I'm sure you can relate.
1:21.1	What God says, those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.
1:26.7	He reminds them that he cannot forget his people.
