Well, here we go, friends, with Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible, the longest Psalm, of course, all about God's word.

And thank you so much for your grace yesterday

and allowing me to take the day to spend with my daughter. It was her birthday. And after six hours

of studying and only being halfway through Psalm 119, I was like, there's no way I'm going to get

this done and be able to give her a proper birthday celebration. And so I needed to take that day

off. It's the first time this year that that's happened. This happened several times last year where we skipped days and I needed a couple of catch-up days. So thank you for allowing me to be a human being who sometimes needs a day off. Thank you to Holly. Did you guys get to check out her verse mapping video? I haven't got to see it yet. As I was going to bed last night, she let me know that

she was doing that just so that you guys would have something yesterday. And I was just blown away.

I'm like, man, she just keeps on surprising us, doesn't she? So Holly, thank you so much for

blessing us with that video. I can't wait to take a look at it. Also, thanks for dealing with

my trusty iPhone over here to film the overhead video. I am just praying everything works together and sinks together today. I left my camera at my mom's house yesterday because I was taking pictures of my daughter. We just got to do what we got to do to make things work, right? I do want to say that if you have not read through Psalm 119 on your own yet, I highly suggest doing that before we jump into this,

because this is jam-packed with a lot of breakdown commentary. And so if you have to kind of get an

overview first, I would recommend doing that because I'm going to be stopping a lot. And sometimes I

know that that can get people's brains a little bit jumbled

if they haven't gotten a bird's eye view yet of the word. So pause the video or the podcast

and go ahead and read through it first and come back because I think that will be really helpful

in helping you to get a good understanding of this psalm. We're reading from the ESV by Crossway

Translation. This is an acrostic psalm. So every single consonant of the Hebrew

alphabet is in here. We finally get to see what the letters are and what they're called. Each one of

them represented with eight verses. And I just think that this is one of the most beautiful psalms.

There have been scholars who have written volumes just on this psalm alone,
