Day 148 of Heart Dive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kenoy. Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

We're going to start this one off with a big old hallelujah, because that's what we're

going to be reading about today in all of the Psalms. We are reading from the ESV by Crossway

Translation, and we are reading,

I believe, eight Psalms today, but they're pretty short, so it's not going to be a really long one.

These Psalms in particular, especially Psalms 113 through 118, they are known as the Halel or

halal, which they are connected with the Passover. So these were typically sung before and after the

Passover meals. The first two, 113 and 114, were sung before the meal, and then 115, 16, 17, 17,

18 were sung after the meal. And if you think about this, Jesus celebrated the Passover. He too

sang these songs. So pay close attention because there are some

messianic Psalms in here, some prophetic Psalms, and just imagine the thoughts of Jesus, the thoughts

that might have been running through his head as he was singing these very words. But before we get

because you are still in control. You are still on the throne. Nothing like that has changed. And so we just thank you

for that continuity in our life, for that stability in our life, Lord, when things start to change up on us.

So, Lord, I pray that you will bless the families today who are kind of transitioning into this

summer flow and anybody else who might be going through a season of change. Guide them through it,

Lord, give them wisdom. I pray, Lord, that you will allow peace to flow throughout their homes. And we just

ask you today, Lord, that you please forgive us of our sins, wash our hearts clean, make our hands
