Day 146 of Heart Dive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kenoy. Welcome to the Heart dive podcast.

0:13.0

Happy Sunday, friends, for those of you studying in real time with us, welcome back to Bible study. We are so glad that you are here in the best place that we could possibly be, which is in God's Word. We have quite a few Psalms today that we're going to be reading through. Some more words coming from the sweet psalmas David and, of course, reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation. But before we begin, if you could please hit that roll call button, our heart dive fam, our BSFs, that's the thumbs up button. And that is your

0:38.3

way of just giving back and partnering with our channel and letting YouTube know that this is a good

0:43.4

Bible study to share with those who might be searching Bible study. Subscribing to the channel is also

0:49.0

very helpful. And if you want to know when the Bible study videos come out each day, just make sure

0:53.6

you hit that notification bell. If you're new to this Bible study, we welcome you. Please let us know in the comments where you're watching from, what part of the world you are in, and also how you found this Bible study. And we implore you to go to the show notes or the description box or even to our website. To take a look around, make sure to see if there's any answers to any questions that you might have that are very likely to be in there. We've tried to put a whole lot of information so that we are able to provide the help that is usually sought. But other than that, that is all I got. We're going to go ahead and pray and jump into it. Our Father who are in heaven, hallow it be your name. You are holy, you are awesome, and we love you so much. And we sit here and we humble our hearts in reverence before you. And we just ask Holy Spirit that you will have your way. Open up our eyes and our ears and our hearts to be able to hear your voice, to see your face, and just experience you in a new way.

1:49.5

We ask for revelation today that you will give us wisdom and discernment, understanding of your word, but also of life's challenges that might be ahead and how this word will be applicable to it.

1:54.4

But we know, Lord, that we also need to clear out anything that is in our hearts that may be

1:58.1

hindering our prayers from breaking through that ceiling of heaven.

2:01.9

Sometimes our own pride can keep that from happening, our disobedience, our unwillingness to

2:07.2

follow the last instructions that she gave us, whatever it is. If there is anything, Lord,

2:11.2

if it's sin or if it's just some bitterness that we're holding on to against somebody else,

2:15.6

will you please clear it out of our hearts right now? And will you please reveal it to us if we're unaware of how we can make it right so that we can, Lord, make those changes and allow you to work in our character through it because we want to honor you in everything that we do with our whole heart and our whole soul. So we love you so much. We thank you for this time. Please bless your

2:34.5

people in Jesus' name. Amen. So we start off here with a short Psalm, Psalm 101, but don't be fooled

2:39.8

because there's lots of meat in it. It's a Psalm of Trust and one of David's Four Song of Ascent.

2:45.9

So we start off in verse 1. Oh Lord, my heart is not lifted up. My eyes are not raised too high. So David begins this

2:52.6

Psalm with his position of humility. Now, while he had his prideful and arrogant moments in life,

2:58.8

his heart was, for the most part, postured so humbly before the Lord and even before people.

3:04.0

He never thought he was better than others, nor did he ever look down on other people.

3:08.3

And this was likely because he knew how quickly God could humble him.

3:13.3

It's kind of that saying, be humble so you don't have to be humbled.

3:17.3

When I heard that in my early 20s, I held on so tightly to it, and I have never looked back. So heart check, how humble are you?
