Don't ever feel like you need to catch you up or like you're behind because you're not. As long as you are in God's word, that is the main thing. That's the most important thing that you are coming here to commune with him, to fellowship with him, to know him more. Otherwise, today we'll be reading from the ESV by Crossway translation. So let's go ahead and prepare our hearts in prayer. Our Father who are in heaven, Hallowid be your name. Your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That is a good and a perfect will for our lives. We know that, Lord, and we trust in it, and so we completely submit our lives to you and say, have your way, oh God. We get out of the way so that you can move in ways that are miraculous, in ways that we never really understood before. You are gonna take us by the hand, and you are going to draw us nearer to your glory,

nearer to your will, nearer to your purpose. We look forward to the day, Lord, where we are able to fulfill that as we do enter into your glory. So thank you, Lord, for grabbing a hold of our hearts now while we are on this earth still breathing. I pray that we will be able to get others, Lord, to be able to come along this journey with us because we know this is the best place while we are here on this earth. Because we know that it is with you where we will find full satisfaction of life. So I pray, Lord, that we will be able to show that to others by the way that we live, the way that we speak, just our presence alone, allowing them to see you dwelling within us. Please forgive us of our sins. Lord, I pray that you will wash us clean today. Give us a fresh canvas for you to be able to write on our hearts. We love you so much. We thank you for this time together. Thank you for every person here. Please bless them, hear their prayers, and meet their needs in Jesus' name, amen.

So we're starting off here in Psalm 25.

This is a Psalm of Lament, but also a little bit of penitents in here.

So penitential Psalm as well.

And it is an acrostic Psalm, meaning David wrote this so that people could memorize it.

And if you don't know what an acrostic is, it's basically kind of like an acronym, you know, where you have a word that is spelled vertically so that you can remember

the beginning letter of each word. So this would be of the Hebrew alphabet. So we start off here in verse one.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Oh my God, and you I trust. Let me not be put to shame. Let not my enemies exult over me.

Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame. They shall be ashamed who are wantonly

treacherous. So David here is completely surrendering. He is submitting to the Lord, waiting on him,

and he knows that shame is not for the godly. The enemy wants us to feel shame. He wants
