0:07.0	Today we covered eight Psalms that span a variety of tones and topics.
0:17.3	We started with Psalm 1 which contrasts the Wicked Man with the righteous man.
0:21.6	It says the righteous man will be different
0:24.0	from the wicked man in the way he thinks, acts, and engages with the world around
0:27.4	him. And because of that, he's blessed. One of the things the righteous man thinks
0:32.4	about is the word of God. He delights in it.
0:36.0	This delight in God causes him to flourish in every area that matters,
0:40.0	and no matter what the circumstances are around him he'll be sustained and upheld
0:45.2	by God's word as his source of life. Psalm 2 was probably either written for or in
0:51.4	response to David's coronation.
0:53.4	It's all about the new king and how the other nations of the world set
0:56.7	ourselves up against him.
0:58.1	They want to overthrow the power of Israel as a nation.
1:01.2	But God looks at Israel's enemies who are his enemies and laughs.
1:06.8	Because it's laughable to oppose God.
1:09.4	We've touched on this briefly in the past, but it bears repeating. The only time scripture shows
1:14.0	God laughing is at his enemies. And here's an example of that. But be careful not
1:19.8	to imagine it as just some kind of maniacal laugh where he's rubbing his hands together and
1:23.9	squinting down at them. He's not cruel, he's just.
1:28.8	Psalm 15 is a davitic psalm and boy it makes it sound impossible to get close to God, doesn't it?
1:35.2	He's specifically talking about the state of a man's heart when he's entering the
