One of the things you may notice as we drop into Chronicles from time to time is that things

We open today with David making plans to move the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, the newly seized, newly named,

capital of the nation of Israel. You may recall from back in 1st Samuel 4 that the Philistine

stole the Ark in a battle, and when Eli the priest heard the news, he fell over and died.

God plagued the Philistines as long as they had the arc, so they decided to get rid of it by sending it away

According to 1st Samuel 6th, the cows went first to the Israelites in Beth Shemesh,
