0:13.1	Today we covered eight Psalms that span a variety of tones and topics.
0:17.8	We start up with Psalm 1 which contrasts the wicked man with the righteous man.
0:22.2	It says the righteous man will be different from the wicked man in the way he thinks, acts,
0:26.2	and engages with the world around him.
0:28.3	And because of that, he's blessed.
0:31.0	One of the things the righteous man thinks about is the Word of God.
0:34.6	He delights in it.
0:36.5	This delight in God causes him to flourish in every area that matters.
0:40.8	And no matter what the circumstances are around him, he'll be sustained and upheld by
0:45.5	God's Word as his source of life.
0:49.0	Psalm 2 was probably either written for or in response to David's coronation.
0:53.8	It's all about the new king and how the other nations of the world set their
0:56.9	selves up against him.
0:58.6	They want to overthrow the power of Israel as a nation.
1:01.8	But God looks at Israel's enemies who are his enemies and laughs.
1:06.8	Because it's laughable to oppose God.
1:09.4	We've touched on this briefly in the past but it bears repeating.
1:12.6	The only time Scripture shows God laughing is at his enemies.
1:17.0	And here's an example of that.
1:19.1	But be careful not to imagine it is just some kind of maniacal laugh where he's rubbing
1:23.0	his hands together and squinting down at them.
