0:00.0	Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.
0:07.0	Today we wrapped up the story of Job. For several chapters we've been reading about
0:17.2	how Job wants to have a conversation with God and yesterday God gave Job a lengthy
0:21.9	response.
0:23.0	Today we got to see Job's very brief reply,
0:25.7	where he basically just said,
0:27.1	I think I'm gonna keep my mouth shut.
0:29.0	So Job was humbled and didn't want to speak.
0:31.6	But God had asked Job to answer him and he didn't, so God pushes a little more.
0:37.0	In 48, God said, Will you even put me in the wrong?
0:42.0	Will you condemn me that you may be in the right? How often do we
0:46.3	get so frustrated by our circumstances that we carry a subtle undercurrent of
0:50.0	belief that God is cruel for letting that thing happen to us. If we really boil it down,
0:55.3	that's the same thing as calling God a bad unjust God. It's basically the belief that I would make a better
1:01.4	God, because if I were God, I would never have done that and he's
1:04.9	wrong and unjust for choosing to do things that way. God points out Job's heart attitude that
1:10.9	only became evident through his suffering.
1:13.0	In 4111, God also points out Job's entitlement.
1:17.0	Job glorified God, he made sacrifices, he honored God with his life and his actions,
1:22.0	but it seems like maybe he valued his own righteous
1:24.8	acts a little too highly, perhaps believing they put God in his debt.
1:29.4	The sins of pride and entitlement are disgusting,
