Welcome back to Exponential View. I'm Azimazar, and this is a special episode, a collection of

0:05.1

live dispatches I recorded on the ground at Davos, 2026. Over four days at the World Economic Forum's

0:12.2

annual meeting, I brought you into the corridors, the cues and the conversations as they happened.

0:17.6

From the unprecedented buzz around Donald Trump's arrival, Mark Carney's

0:22.5

stirring call for sovereignty and the practical realities of AI adoption in enterprise.

0:29.1

This is Davos as I experienced it.

0:37.2

On day one, I had just arrived at the Congress Center.

0:40.7

0:52.4

The state of AI and its move into enterprise, the

0:55.8

startup ecosystem and the energy transition. Welcome everyone. It's Azim here and I'm in Davos

1:02.4

for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. This is day one of some very brief

1:13.2

speaking on Wednesday. It is a momentous moment, I think, given all of the tensions in the world

1:19.4

today, the geopolitics of it, shall we say, is a little bit frenetic and frantic. We have had, of course,

1:24.9

Venezuela, but now the Greenland issue and the frictions between the

1:29.2

US and European nations, many of whose leaders are going to be here, Macon speaking as well

1:35.1

this week. So that is perhaps part of the overarching mood. It's meant that there are more political

1:40.3

leaders than usual here. Of course, the other thing that is going on and the other

1:44.3

major question is our world, it's artificial intelligence. And again, this year, lots of the

1:49.4

top bosses from the AI firms are in town, lots of philanthropic, from cohere, from you.com.
