What I've learned about David Stearns over the last how many months he's been the team president is he doesn't say very much.

Like, eh, that's where a lot of general managers are at team presidents.

I don't say a lot of much.

Now, sometimes you get a little crinkle, get a little crumb and like, oh, he gave me something there.

But for the most part, David Stearns doesn't tell you anything.

He's not telling us they're not adding a DA. He doesn't say much. But he said something that I was very, very surprised about. Because I have a lot of experience as a fan

with teams that go into seasons with, hey, if this goes right and that goes right and that

goes right, maybe we'll be good. Yeah. Like, I'm sort of an expert on that, whether it's the Mets in the past, whether it's the Nets, whether it's the Jets.

A lot of, we could be good because it's sports and you never know.

And I think for a lot of us as MET fans, that's kind of our view on what we're looking at come mid-February when pitchers and catchers report. And David Stearns didn't do what I thought he would do.

It just played the expectation game.

Politicians do this all the time.

Keep an eye on New Hampshire.

Keep an eye on when politicians say, ah, we're going to need your votes.

Hopefully we just win by five points.
