Hello, my friends. Hey, did you know that David from the Old Testament, you know the kid who killed the giant?

Did you know he's part of the Christmas story? Yes, he actually is. We're going to get into that today as we look at these prophecies about the coming Messiah in this series called foretold.

Welcome to the morning mindset. I'm Carrie Green. I'm helping you walk through these prophecies

in an effort to help you get your mind aligned with the truth of God's word for this day,

for this Christmas season. Today we're going to be looking at the book of Second Samuel chapter 7,

so get out your Bibles. We'll also skip ahead to the New Testament and look at Matthew chapter 1,

so get ready to do a little bit of flipping. But I have another Christmas gift idea for you.

This one's for the children in your life. I've actually created a children's picture book. This is one I created

a long time ago. I don't even remember how the story came about, but it teaches some eternal

truths through a Dr. Seuss-like book about a creature called the smizmazel. And the eternal

truths are about how our hearts are corrupted, how it takes and act outside of

ourselves to deal with our corrupted hearts and those kinds of things.
