guest is a legendary person, certainly legendary in my politics obsessed household and my Obama obsessed household and his

new podcast campaign HQ is terrific I've listened to three episodes out of the

six and I think it's a really strong

entrant into the podcast Wars. David Plough who was a chief strategist for

President Obama and has done many other things of distinction, some of which

we get into.

You have, one book came out in 2010, David, and you have a new book coming in March,

right?

I do.

A book called the Citizens Guide to Defeating Donald Trump.

So it's the question I've gotten most often in my life in politics is, what can I do and what else can I do?

So I won't have all the answers, but I'm trying to capture for people all the things they can do online, offline, financially, creative, traveling to battleground states and why it matters. So thanks for raising that. That's awesome. You know that that

book should be purchased in concert with the book that my son Sam Koppelman and

Neil Kachil just wrote which is called called impeach the case against Donald Trump.

So I think first let's try to impeach if that doesn't work let's let's defeat him your way.

Well, yeah, I agree with that and I'm eager to read the book. I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot and be inspired.

So David, we've long been fascinated with the way you see the world and I want to learn a little bit about the prism through which you see it and so

and you know there are certain things you did that are so different in the way that you built your career.

So I wonder, have you always been a very self-directed person able to find your own North Star and follow it? if so how is that the case and if not how

did you consciously become someone like that?
