| 0:57.8 | So I think there's two things that it's really important for people to understand. |

| 1:05.4 | mainly El Salvador Guatemala and Honduras are exercising their right to claim |
| 1:11.1 | asylum in the US. They're not quote unquote illegal. It's a |
| 1:14.8 | right under international law. The US is a signatory through the 1967 protocol |
| 1:19.8 | to the UN Convention on Refugees to give people the right to claim asylum if they feel that |
| 1:26.1 | they are not safe at home. |
| 1:29.0 | And that's the first thing that's going on. |
| 1:31.0 | There's then a whole set of policy responses that I'm sure we're going to |
