My guest today is the great David Crockow. David is an evolutionary biologist and the president and William H Miller

professor of complex systems at the Santa Fe Institute.

The Santa Fe Institute is a really fascinating place.

It is an independent research center for exploring the frontiers of complex systems science.

They're doing all sorts of fascinating and cutting edge forward forward-thinking things at the Santa Fe Institute

and David Crockow is running that ship. We cover a lot in this podcast. It's really just a

smoke show of information. We talk about complex systems,

we talk about panpsychism, which is basically the belief that everything material, no matter

what its size, has individual consciousness.

We also talk about the difference between knowledge and understanding and the very limits

of human consciousness.
