DeCubney, who is, you know, one of our great, you know, showmen, really, an artist. I mean,

this is somebody who everyone listening, David, knows you, you know, they know your work

as an actor and or they read your books or listen to your records. You knew album.

Jester Land came out this week, just a couple days ago. And I'm really glad to get the

opportunity to talk to you today, man. I'm happy to get to talk to you as well. I felt like

I've been knowing you just tangentially for for number of years now. And I'm happy to sit

and even though our first substance conversation will be reported and consumed, it's still a step

in the right direction. It's true. Well, we had some substantive text combos. Well, this is

what I was going to say, man, it's been fascinating to me because although you and I are not friends,

you're good friends with my wife, Amy Cobbleman, who's a great filmmaker and writer. And so for a long

time, as I'm sure you heard stuff about me, I've heard stuff about you and feel like in certain

ways, I know you and then in certain ways, I'm really curious. So yeah, I'm glad we're going to

get to do this. And like, and it was so fun texting with you about books this week and sort of

been exactly the way Amy said you and I would get along with one another. So that was really fun.

And we'll get to talking about books. But in sitting here and thinking about you and about the

way you present to the public, reading some articles about you and the knowledge baked in from like

all the conversations that sort of have here walking through the kitchen when Amy's talking to you.

I was thinking about this weird Willy Wonka quote, you know, at the end of the movie when

Wonka says to Charlie, you know what they say about the boy who got everything he wanted,

he lived happily ever after. And like, I don't know about that because there's this

probabilistic parable that speaks to just the opposite and and presents that if you're in a situation
