I'm Craig Vassal, a member of the club's Environment and Natural Resources Forum, and your chair for today.

Dave Deppin is a leader in green architecture with over 30 years of experience

in innovative ecological design and people-friendly projects.

He studied architecture and environmental psychology at Penn State.

After college, he was on the founding staff of the Wright Ingraham Institute's Environmental University on the Colorado Plains.

After a time in Portland, he moved to the Bay Area.

Also, in the mid-70s, he worked for the country's pioneering ecological architect Malcolm Wells on the East Coast.

And then here in the Bay Area, he's been a leader in many projects at the firm, E.H.D.

These projects range from libraries to aquariums to master planning, the Turtle Bay Discovery Park on the northern Sacramento River at Redding.

Then he was vice president of Vandarine architects in Sausalito, where he led landmark projects incorporating rammed earth, earth roofs,
