At some stage, artificial intelligence will unquestionably surpass human intelligence.

That's the point when intelligence might begin to take off.

Smart machines will create smarter machines, which in turn will create still smarter machines,

a rapid upward spiral of intelligence.

One singularly intelligent human, Professor David Chalmers of the Australian National

University, thinks that process, known as the singularity, will at some stage occur and would better start

thinking about the implications.
