of Government in Washington, D.C. We spend time with him today talking about his recent lecture at St. Vincent

College in the fallout from it. Dr. Azarad, thanks so much for joining us.

We want to talk to you today and get your account of your experience at St. Vincent College.

How were you asked?

What were your expectations at St. Vincent for this conference, which was titled Politics, Policy, and Panic, governing in a time of crisis?

Yes, so the politics department that is headed by Brad Watson, who's a great guy and a friend

of Hillsdale College, he runs this center, and every year they put on a conference,

they invite professors, intellectuals, people present papers, it's open to the general

public, faculty and students show up, and then the papers are published usually in an edited volume.

And the paper I pitched him on was black privilege and racial hysteria in contemporary America.

And the point of the paper was to document all of these special privileges that the laws and the mores extend to black

Americans at the expense generally of white Americans and most definitely that are not extended

to white Americans. The title is provocative, but the substance is basically a know, basically a defense of the idea of equality

before the law and meritocracy in the private sector. It's, you know, the core American ideals
