Hi everyone, welcome to at home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement and I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends, how are you? This is Sally Clarkson, the frog version and I just have

not been able to get on top of whatever has been going on in my respiratory areas for

quite a while so I hope you can still understand me today and it's a prayer for me as the

midst in the midst of several different doctors trying the world to figure out what is going

on and life is just full of adventures isn't it? I am so happy to be talking with you for

a short time today. I wanted to talk to you a little bit about David today, David in the Bible.

I feel like as I'm in Oxford and surrounded by theologians and academics and I think this

happens even in the States and in all over the world and all throughout history I think that

often people really focus on the wrong things. As you know over 800 times in scripture as I've

told you before God mentions the heart. Man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the heart,

love the Lord your God with all your heart and so on and so forth there's so many verses but

the reason that God mentioned heart so many times is because God is a heart God. He is the God who

desires to walk with us in the garden. He is the God who desires us to know his love and so

is the reason I'm choosing him today and I will be doing something from T. time Tuesday tomorrow

on heart is because when we look at all of scripture and there's all the stories,

the Old Testament stories and then we have lots of New Testament stories. The person who is most

commended by God as a man after God's heart, a man running after a man who wants to please God's heart.

It is David and so I wanted to read to you very familiar some today but I want you to think about it
