Summary

Dave McGillivray is the founder of DMSE. He has served as the Race Director of the Boston Marathon since the 1980’s. He has run the Boston race every year since 1973. Many of those runs start after his official duties as Director end for the day. Dave and Lance caught up in Boston to talk about his career in endurance events, his personal health scare, running a sub 2 hour marathon and how the Boston bombing impacted his duties and family.

1:16.8	the first time because my older kids went to summer camp but they went to summer
1:20.3	camp they went to camp longorn way back in the day.
1:22.8	I didn't really feel like a camp because it was so close to Austin but my little kids,
1:28.2	Max and Olivia, we took it was like a journey we took them to summer camp in Minnesota like northern Minnesota so we flew to Minneapolis
1:37.1	drove all the way up there but it's like one of these classic summer camps you know like well I, well, I wouldn't know, I didn't go anything like that, but, you know, it was interesting and a little, you know, made me a little sad to have to leave my little guys behind for five days
1:55.8	they're so young it's just an introductory camp but they're having a blast
2:00.3	pictures are coming through online I'm able to email them and look forward to
2:05.5	picking them up and spending Father's Day together.
