Hey, deserving listeners. Today's episode is about dating. And I've done a recent episode about this

0:06.0

already, but so many more questions were left unanswered. And so I thought I would get to those

0:11.6

questions. And a little caveat before getting into this is that dating is a very complicated thing.

0:18.3

And often in advice columns on the internet or in the newspaper, it's often portrayed as this

0:24.4

really simple thing as if there's these really simple answers that are generalizable to every human

0:29.0

being. And that's just ridiculous. So as I talk about this, I'm going to try to speak from that

0:35.6

place that everyone comes from a different place. Problems can have multi factors that when I talk

0:45.1

about things, whenever I talk about things, it should be taken with that in mind. And that if you're

0:50.3

having a particular problem that you need help with, you should find professional in-person help

0:56.0

that can assess your full situation and apply a treatment plan just for you. But let's get to

1:01.3

1:16.0

spend my time engaging in one of my hobbies and could honestly be in a relationship without ever doing

1:21.6

it. I don't care about having sex in general. I'm often uncomfortable talking about sex with

1:25.8

potential partners because of my disdain for it. All right, just chiming in here. Yeah, I get it.

1:31.6

We live in a very strange world that doesn't acknowledge that some people just don't like having

1:36.6

sex or don't want to, especially in dating, especially for young people. And it's a thing. There's

1:42.8

plenty of people who don't want to have sex for a while or they, and there's various reasons why

1:48.4

people don't want to have sex. One is just being a sexual or demisexual, meaning that essentially,

1:54.9

you have a sexual orientation or a biological preference that sex just isn't a big part of your life.

2:02.2

We can all imagine that there's a spectrum and maybe a bell curve with people in the middle having

2:08.7

an average sex drive. And you have people at the high end who have very high sex drive and you
