Maower, not a whole lot to cover today so this will be a pretty quick episode just

catching up on a couple software related things and some investment news as well. Tesla stock did finish down today 1.43% to

$303.77 this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.09%

all right so first just a quick follow-up from the autopilot data report that we had been discussing the last couple of days.

Doesn't look like we'll have any luck bringing that company on the podcast to discuss that report.

I gave it my best effort.

Personally, I don't understand why someone would not take advantage of the opportunity

to clearly and directly discuss the conclusions of a report that obviously took a lot of time and the entire purpose of the the of NHTSA's conclusions from their previous research.

Just so frustrating because all I want to do

is discuss the facts.

If something is inaccurate, I want to know.

I've always been curious about the autopilot data.

I've always wondered where NHTSA was getting that data from. I've always wanted more information here because the information that we get from Tesla is too vague I think to make any real solid conclusions from. So I do still plan to look into this when I've got some time. It would just be so much nicer to have a plain language conversation around it rather than having to kind of tread through it myself.

All right, so moving on then, the software update that included Century Mode and Dog Mode has started to rollout as we talked about yesterday.

There is one other additional nice feature included in this software update.

The dash cam functionality that was previously limited to just the main forward facing camera

has now been expanded in functionality to include the side cameras.

Tesla in their release notes says, quote,

Dash cam can now record and store video footage captured by your car's side cameras

in addition to the narrow forward camera."
