I've been going mental, I'm losing my mind.

Hi, I'm Eileen Kelly and I'm the host of Going Mental.

After struggling with these incredible highs of a booming career and then the unbelievable

lows of losing my mental health, I've voluntarily admitted myself to a psychiatric hospital.

I ended up staying over five months learning not only how to better manage my symptoms,

but also just get my life back on track.

So I'm here to say that no matter where you are, you're not alone.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say that we recorded this episode prior to the horrific

shooting in Texas and needless to say this is a horrific tragedy and when we talked about

Buffalo, you know, just an episode or two ago, we talked about how these are becoming

all too common these tragedies and it's so tough and so frustrating to both acknowledge

the sanctity of human life and how horrible these things are while also knowing that we're

going to continue to have this conversation if we don't do something about gun reform.

So know that we're going to come back to this conversation in future episodes.

We're going to continue to talk about this.

We have fewer of these tragedies but in order to ensure that we've got to do something

urgently in Washington and around the country in our states and we're going to put our

focus on that and so I hope you enjoyed this episode and I know that we're going to continue
