Summary

When a woman’s body was found in a field, the police found a potential piece of evidence in the grass. But they decided to hold that information back, leading some to wonder if that is what stalled the investigation.

If you have any information, call the Burton Police Department at (810) 742-2542 or the Crimestoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.

This case is unsolved.

I'm Charlie and welcome to crime lines.

Hello and welcome to crime lines in this week's episode, which is a little on the shorter side to

0:36.0

what I usually put out there, but as soon as I read about

0:39.2

this case, I knew I was going to cover it. The reason is that the police held back what I think

0:46.3

is a pretty big piece of evidence, and they have since released it, meaning this case needs as much attention as possible now and as

0:57.1

much attention as it got back when it first happened to get this new information to the public.

1:03.3

It could very well bring in the tip that this case needs to be solved.

So let's go ahead and get started with Denise Parrish, who was born in September of

1967. She was the oldest of four children, the only girl, and she was very close to her younger

brothers. Denise attended Flint Northern High School in Flint, Michigan, and it was there that

she met her future husband, Dan Leclair. Dan was a grader two ahead of her,

but they met through a mutual friend after Dan spotted her in a physical education class and took

immediate notice. The two did not marry right after school, though. They actually didn't marry

until 10 years after

Denise graduated. In those 10 years, they had a son together, and they were very newly pregnant

with their second child when they decided it was time to tie the knot. On February 14, 1996,

a radio station hosted a mass Valentine's Day wedding at the Weston

a good time to take the next step. Then in September of that same year, their daughter was
