Welcome into the Next Pats podcast.

0:12.2

I'm Phil Perry, very excited to bring you this week's edition of Next Pats, a week one edition.

0:18.5

And who better to talk about this week than the number four overall pick Will Campbell,

0:23.2

the left tackle out of LSU. This is what we do on NextPats. We're talking about their young players.

0:27.9

We're talking about their core, their foundation for the future. And Will Campbell certainly falls

0:32.6

into that category. Let's give you just a quick little taste of his mindset going into week one of the

0:38.3

regular season. His first regular season NFL matchup against the Raiders. He had that great

0:43.3

preseason opener, especially in the run game where he's panicking people, 15, 20 yards down the

0:50.4

field. You know he's hoping to have another one or two of those against Vegas this weekend. I think, you know, anytime you go out there is, that's kind of anybody's mindset is, you know, you want to dominate. But yeah, I mean, that's, you know, kind of what we preach around here, just playing hard. But, I mean, it's really, you know, the whole team's goal to go out there and just play hard and, you know, leave everything on the field.

So if our focus this week is going to be on that guy, Will Campbell, who else are we going to bring in other than the great Dante Scarnacia to break down Will Campbell's game, how he would handle him as he goes into his first professional matchup, potentially against one of the best past rushers in the NFL in Raiders' defensive end.

1:31.2

Max Crosby, phenomenal insight from Dante Scarnackia.

1:34.6

As always, every time he comes on the next Pat's podcast, here's our conversation.

1:40.5

There he is, our good friend, Dante Scarnacia, Patriots Hall of Famer, legendary offensive line coach.

1:47.1

Dante, thanks so much for being with us here again on NextBats.

1:49.6

You are far and away, far and away, our number one favorite guest here on the Nextpats podcast.

1:55.9

Thank you, sir.

1:57.4

You're very kind to say that.

1:58.9

I think it's a little bit hyperbole on your part, but let's move on. No, you've been with us from the beginning. You've been with us many times on this podcast. We really appreciate you. Always give us the insight that we need when it comes to this part of the game that hand up. I don't understand all that well. I'll admit it. I think it's part of the game that

2:17.6

people at home would love to understand more about. So it's great to have you on with us. And I want to

2:22.1

ask you first about this year's group, Dante, because there is one sort of big picture conversation.

2:28.7

There's obviously one big individual player on the left side that I want to ask you about too,
