If you're just joining us, you're going to need to go back after today and figure out where we are in our series on Daniel that we're putting the tagline, Children of Revival, too, because we could walk verse by verse through the book of Daniel, and that would be a challenge in and of itself, and I believe God would move through that.

But we're framing this series through the eyes of a bigger story, that Daniel doesn't just show up in exile

in Babylon, serious about resolving in his faith and staying faithful to God randomly.

He is the product of a generation of people who were moved to destroy idols under the leadership of King Josiah

and cause, not even knowing it, but cause a remnant of the generation to follow,

who would go into exile in Babylon and remain faithful to God and ultimately lead to the coming

of Jesus.

And we're asking the question at Auburn Community Church, what if what God is doing

in our day is bigger than this moment? What if we could open our eyes to the idea that we're in a

broken, sinful world that is in desperate need of Jesus? But maybe the coolest thing God could

do through ACC is not just grow church services or build buildings or start other locations. Maybe the coolest thing God could do through ACC is not just grow church services or build

buildings or start other locations. Maybe the amazing thing God could do is have a generation of Jesus

followers witnessing these things and being transformed by what they see. And maybe they're not going to

conform to the world around them. Maybe they're going to be transformed by the word within them, as we,

many of us,

the first generation in a lot of our families, to truly be transformed from the inside out by the

word of God. So this is a vision-defining series for where we're going as a church and we're looking

at the book of Daniel. And honestly, the first three weeks have been foundational talking about

the idea of being taken into exile.

Engaged, it's such a good job talking about this last week of when you're taken into exile,

you're tested. Are you going to resolve to be who you truly are in your identity in Christ?

You're going to conform to the world around you and the pressure is higher than ever on Daniel
