It's the treatment. I'm Elvis Mitchell. Walls being shattered as families fall apart around each other.

It could be any number of things by my guest, Daniels.

It could be the video for Turn Down for What?

Or more than likely.

It can be a summary of the new film, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.

Guys, thanks so much for doing this.

And, yeah, shattering through walls and breaking down convention and violating space.

That's kind of the way you guys get down, isn't it?

That's a really, I mean, I've never heard someone describe our work that way, but I think it's

really beautiful.

I think something that was really transformative for me early on was whenever I found

out that a rule was there arbitrarily, you know, growing up. I think I grew up very conservative.

I was a very anxious kid and I wanted to follow the rules. Like the many moments in my life

that I realize there are no rules are kind of the things that I'm

very drawn to. So I think our work is constantly trying to break down any sort of boxes that

our society has tried to put up in a way that was probably necessary and useful at one point,

but maybe it's worth examining now. And so that's very physical or very emotional.

That's a metaphorical one.

We also literally like making messes.

Yeah, exactly.
