| 0:09.0 | Thank you, Michael. |
| 0:10.2 | Appreciate the time, DJ. |
| 0:12.1 | With the Jets, what do you see them doing at two? |
| 0:14.7 | And then from a big picture standpoint, |
| 0:17.9 | with all this graph capital they have this year and next year, is this going to be |
| 0:22.5 | finally the situation that gets this thing turned around into the right direction? |
| 0:28.2 | Well, that's good question, Rich. You know the deal. You've been there, covered it for so long. |
| 0:33.3 | Like all these picks, there's only one of them that matters. You know, they've got to get the |
| 0:37.1 | quarterback right. |
| 0:38.5 | And all signs, at least that I've made aware of, |
| 0:41.9 | seems like that young quarterback is more likely to come in 27 than it is in this draft. |
| 0:46.9 | So of all these picks, and they can graft a bunch of great players |
| 0:49.8 | and build out this roster, but that's the one pick that they've got to get right, |
| 0:54.1 | unless they can miraculously hit on one of these veterans, |
| 0:57.2 | and we'll see how Gino does this year. |
| 0:59.6 | But that, to me, is going to be the key to their whole turnaround. |
| 1:02.6 | But they are a position to get this roster up and going. |
| 1:06.4 | I'm excited for what they can do in 26. |
| 1:09.0 | But, man, 27, with what that draft looks like from afar and having three first round picks, that could be the, you know, that could be the real impetus to get that thing turned around. But I think they can be aggressive in this draft without even, without even touching their 27 picks. So, you know, I think there's ways they can move up. I don't know how high they'd want to go, but they could definitely come back up from 16. If they wanted to part with that second round pick, I believe it's 44, they could move up pretty significantly. So they've got a chance to be aggressive without touching their haul in 27. And just the, what you think they might do it. Oh, yeah, too. Yeah, I mean, look, I think there's, it's really, it feels like a two-man race there. When you're looking at Bailey and Reese, I would say Sunny Stiles is in the, has to be in the conversation in the debate, just how he's come through the process. But that definitely feels like it's one of those two edge rushers. You know, it's been framed. I've framed that I know a lot of other folks have framed it the same way, which is Reese is the higher ceiling, Bailey's, the higher floor. Bailey, you know exactly what you're going to do with him. You've seen him as a pass rusher. He's very accomplished. He knows what he's doing there. It's not like you have to sacrifice all the athleticism either. I mean, the guy ran four or five flat. He's got a great get off. He's very twitchy. He's not quite as loose. He's not quite as violent or as explosive as Reese's. And Reese does have the, youball, on-the-ball versatility, which I really love. |
