In our last journey on through the Bible, our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, took us through Daniel's vision of the four beasts that characterized four great kingdoms.

But what did it mean?

And how would the great prophet figure it out?

Well, I'm Steve Schwetz, and if you'd like to know the answers to these questions and so much more. Well, today's your day for another interesting

study in the Old Testament book of Daniel beginning in chapter 7 at verse 13. So as you find your

seat on the Bible bus and open your copy of God's Word, here's a letter from a fellow

passenger named Shirley in Oklahoma. I get discouraged because it often seems that the more I tell people about through the

Bible, the less they seem to respond. That's when I go to see my 92-year-old blind friend who has

moved into a nursing home. At first, she didn't want to hear the Bible because she'd heard enough at church.

Well, little by little, we listened together, and now she asks me to come often.

She really listens, laughs at the stories, and says what a good teacher he is.

Yesterday, her roommate joined us. We were in the fourth chapter of Philippians, and the story

of the train getting off the track was a big hit. Well, I agree. That certainly is memorable,

and it's a good one. Dr. McGee recalling his favorite train route from L.A. to Chicago on the Super Chief. So thanks, Shirley. Thanks for sharing your love of God's word with others as well. You know, it's a joy to have you and your friends on the Bible bus together. Oh, and don't be discouraged. Dr. McGee often told us, it's our responsibility that people hear the gospel, not that

they accepted. That's God's job. So keep up the good work. And as we go through the Bible together,

you know that I often ask you to share what you're learning from God's word, right? Well,

here's a great response from a friend in South Korea, she says, I'm meditating deeply on today's teaching

about those who are in need of growing faith. When I am around people who are struggling with

their faith, I will think of this teaching and try to encourage and pray for them. It is my prayer

that the Lord will help me embrace them and share the love of Jesus Christ. Isn't that encouraging? She's loving
