I need to begin in a word of prayer. So Father, thank you for setting aside this time for us to look into your word. Your word is living in active, sharper than any two-edged sword.

And so we ask that you would wield the sword by the power of the Holy Spirit and renew our minds and revive our hearts and direct

our wills to follow you. So give us insight as we look together into the passage in Christ's

name. Amen. All right. We are in 1st John chapter. And today we're going to look at verses 18. I've got notes through

this is Danger colon Deception ahead and I think you'll see why I've entitled it. Beginning in verse 18, children, it is the last hour.

And just as you have heard that Antichrist is coming, even now many Antichrist have appeared.

From this we know that it is the last hour.

They went out from us, but they were not really of us.

For if they had been of us, they would have remained with us.

But they went out so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.
