Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Purple Insider, Matthew Collar, and

Dane Mizatani of the Pioneer Press.

We are actually outside of TCO Performance Center because it is a really nice day, except

for the air is a little smoky, but it's not 95 degrees with 100% humidity.

So the pod moves to the outdoors.

And what we're going to do is talk about the biggest developments of the first seven days of Minnesota Vikings training camp.

And I think we have to start with one that we just saw in practice, which is that

Christian Derisaw is back working 11 on 11s. And that is enormous news. And I think it was either

the first or second rep he got in there. Dane, he moved a body and they got a big run behind him.

And it was like, yeah, that's right. You can't just find a guy like Christian

Derisaw. His recovery seems to be on track, which of all the developments, a lot of them were going

to say, hey, well, we'll see where this goes or it's going to take time, but they really can't

have a good offensive line unless they have Christian Derisaw.

So that was big to see him back in practice.

Yeah, and that's a good place to start because everything else felt very training campy.

And we will get into all of that on the pod.

But this was the biggest news of the day, the news item, that, yes, Christian Darisaw,

who was coming off of a torn ACL and MCL,

and I think some people had worries. Is he even going to be ready for week one? Well, it's July 30th,

and he is taking reps with the full team, 11 on 11s. We got to see that starting offensive line

kind of in action for the first time.

He didn't participate in every single rep of 11 on 11.
