Dan Trasterini is our guest you may know him as the race car driver, the movie actor,

the race boat driver, the famous hunter, the penthouse model. But a lot of people don't know this.

He was also a 10 year NFL superstar quarterback. And we're talking about the passing of dip

buck, because when you found out that buck has had retired, because even though he was 31,

which is not young, he still had years in him, but apparently had a pretty bad knee, do you

remember finding out how he had, finding out that he had retired? Remember how that came about?

I think, yeah, I mean, it was kind of a relief throughout the league that he did retire.

To everybody but bears fans. Yeah, I know, but even in his, the twilight of his career,

and he had the bad knee and everything else, he was still a horse to deal with. I mean, on one leg,

the guy was a better football player than most guys on two legs. And, you know, he was just,

you know, he had enough. You know, you figure out, when we're 30 years old, we maybe lived half

of our life. We're lucky, maybe a little bit more. And your whole life has been your career,

in goals of becoming a professional athlete. And then all of a sudden, it comes to an end.

And, you know, here you are 30, you're early 30s, and you're done with your life's mission in life.

And you go, what do I do now? And, you know, he had that similar situation. And he was found out

that he could do a lot more things than he was capable, or thought he was capable of doing,

like television and commercials. I mean, a lot of the commercials he did were funny. He did

some broadcasting. He was on a speaker's tour and did a lot of things like that. And, you know,

led a very good, solid, long, productive life, not just from football, but from after football.

And, you know, that's admirable, because a lot of guys in our positions when we retire,

don't know what to do. And they find it tough. You know, it was difficult for me because

in my situation with Mr. Davis, but, you know, you wanted to reinvent yourself, go racing,
