sound super luxurious. So I'm very excited about that. Let's talk about overinvesting and dating. We've all

done it. I've done it. Do it. I still do it. Um, and it's hard not to do it when

you're really excited about somebody. And so I want to talk about how to recover when you notice

that there's an imbalance between you and the person that you're dating, that you may have given too much too soon,

that you may have given them more than they were ready for, and now they're kind of pulling away

or uncomfortable. You can just feel when things are not aligned. And so I want to talk about

what to do in those situations, but before we get into that,

let me just give you kind of an overview of how I like to think about investment in dating and

relationships. So when you first start dating somebody, it's like you have this little seed,

and both of you add a little water, add a little water, and you have to be really

patient with it for it to grow. Eventually, when it grows in years time, it's a big oak tree, for example,

and you can just guzzle and guzzle water on it, and it can handle it and it actually thrives with all of that water.

However, in the early stages, if you try to guzzle and guzzle water on it, the seed will actually drown and it won't thrive and it will die.
