Hello and welcome to the Game 3 podcast offseason preview series where Bryce Simon and I break down all 30 NBA teams forthcoming summers and the decisions they have to make.

Today we're talking about the Dallas Mavericks where the Mavericks have Cooper Flagg.

They have the number nine overall pick.

They have Kyrie Irving and a whole lot of interesting veterans that depending on the new direction of the new front office, including Masayu Jiri and Mike Schmitz, they have some options at their disposal in terms of how they could go about rebuilding this team around flag. So Bryce, what are you doing? What moves are you making?

Let's just do it now up top. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's an interesting team because I like a lot of

these individual players, Sam, right? Like, you can go up and down the roster. I'm like, yeah, I like that

guy. I like that guy. That guy can contribute to winning, but I think they have some balancing of the roster. And'm like, yeah, I like that guy. I like that guy. That guy can contribute to winning.

what are our long-term decisions around this roster? And who are those players, who fits in the

back core, all of those things? And so for a team picking in the top 10, they have some decisions, but it's not like a roster

void of talent or anything like that.

It's a roster in a salary cap situation that it's not like, oh, we're talking about a

cap space team, but I don't look at anything on their roster and think, oh, bad contract or that's too many years or anything like that.

I would say almost every contract on the books, not every, most of these contracts and players could be traded if they wanted to.

So an interesting offseason because how do they build out the back court?

Who are the players? I don't even out the back court? Who are the players?

I don't even just say young players.

Who are the players that they bring in slash keep to build this out with Cooper Flag?

Honestly, I think that all of the contracts are movable.

I don't know if they're movable for value, right?

But they're definitely movable.
