You're listening to Daily Truth. The word purity in this context refers to moral purity, but we could just look at good,

godly moral conduct, which we've already addressed.

So I think more particularly, the purity here is speaking of sexual purity.

And it's not merely outward our behaviors, but even in the realm of our thoughts.

Sexual immorality, it always begins in the mind.

Therefore, walking with Christ means taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

and when we fail, we must be vigilant to acknowledge and confess our sin,

and then we must put on the Lord Jesus Christ

and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lust.

Romans 13, 14.

I love Owen, John Owen, and other great writers, such as the Puritans,

they spoke of the sin of making provisions for sin.

You may not actually be sinning in a particular area like sexual perversion, sexual immorality.

But you can look to the way you live.
