A few weeks back I wrote a song, some friends.

A chorus is all about thanking Jesus for his love,

thanking him for saving us.

And we just want to sing these melodies over you

and read these words over you and hope that they would draw you

in and ground you in gratitude.

You know, if there's anything true, anything good,

anything beautiful in your life, it comes from God the Father.

So let's thank him.

Giver of all that is good.

Sometimes after having already awoken into the day,

I wake again in a different kind of way.

I awaken to the world around me, to flowers and to colors,

to strangers and to friends, to strangers as friends,

to fresh baked cookies, to smiles and waves,

to music that makes me want to dance,

to air that dances in my lungs, to the lungs of creation,
