Good morning. And the news this morning, an active duty U.S. sailor whose submarine was docked at Pearl Harbor, open fire on three civilian employees Wednesday, killing two and then taking his own life just days before dignitaries and veterans descend on the base for the 78th anniversary of the Japanese attack.

So my wife is, she's away for training for her job.

And there's like her and like 13 other people that are down there studying. And so they're in Florida. And I was talking to her last night. And she's like, yeah, and the one girl that I'm with, just all of a sudden she goes, oh, my God, there's a shooter on my husband's base. I got to go. and just got up and like took off out of the conference.

I'm like, whoa, really?

Yeah, the commander of Navy region, Hawaii, Rear Admiral Robert Chadwick said he didn't know the motive behind the shooting at the Hawaii-based naval shipyard that left the third civilian Department of Defense employee hospitalized. It also wasn't known if the

sailor and the three male civilians had any type of relationship or what the motive was for the

shooting, Chadwick said. We have no indication yet whether they were targeted or if it was a

random shooting. The sailor was assigned to the fast attack submarine USS Columbia, which is at Joint

Base Pearl Harbor Hickman for maintenance.
