Good morning in the news this morning.

Lower Merri and Township police are looking for multiple people caught on surveillance video at stores in the township using stolen credit cards.

On Monday, a wallet was reported stolen from Trader Joe's and Ardmore. The victim told police she reached the checkout aisle and that's when she discovered that her wallet was missing.

She then received numerous fraud alerts. Lower Marion police officers responded to the Target store on Monument Road. And verified that. I know. That's right by us in Ballackinwood. That's our collective target. It is, yes. And verified that her credit cards had been used there that same day. So basically they went from a trader droves over to Target and started purchasing things. Surveillance footage showed a woman in a black

sun had a black sweater and a whiter cream colored sweatshirt using the stolen cards and walking out of

the store. Two different suspects were reported trying to purchase several different gift cards

in $500 increments at a CVS store in Ardmore. The clerk asked the suspect for her ID, but the woman would only show the ID from a distance when the clerk said that she needed to scan the ID. She's standing 50 feet back. Here it is. When the clerk said that she needed to scan the ID, that's when the woman said that she had a better one in her car and she left the store. So my cousin on the back of all of his credit cards where you're supposed to sign, he writes,

ask for my ID.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So the pair, let's see, she was seen on surveillance video with a male accomplice,

and they said the pair fit the same description of another incident earlier in the month on November 18th,

where a victim reported her purse stolen at the same Trader Joe's in in Ardmore and her credit cards were then used at the Apple store and free people nearby so just a quick question so he writes it what ballpoint pen or what is he yeah yeah okay you can do that like on the back where you ask for my ID yeah like if you're supposed to you can either write your signature and then they're supposed to check your signature. But, I mean, in a lot of stores now, it's just the chip and they don't. They don't, yeah. The ID, yeah. Huh. Police believe this is the same couple who was spotted on surveillance video in Abington Township at a whole food, stealing wallets out of the shopper's purses and then using the stolen credit cards at nearby stores. Can I run in the back of my credit card?
