Yesterday, around this time we were talking, well no, it was later in the show, but it was

the 25th anniversary of the movie Anchorman.

Yes.

And Will Ferrell was on the podcast with Christina

Applegate, who of course was in Anchorman, co-starred with him in that. And Jimmy and Lynn

Sigler, they were talking about Will Ferrell and just, you know, diving into his world.

And he had this interesting story to tell about something that affected him deeply.

And it seems so minor, but apparently it was a big deal to him.

When he was a kid, he revealed how torturous it was for him to tell his teachers that his name is not actually will.

It is not his legal name.

They were doing the roll call.

And he said, and I quote,

this is a minor thing in terms of.

He said it's not even really trauma,

but I remember feeling so embarrassed

because my real name is John.

It's John William Farrell.

So first day of school, I'd be John.

He said the teacher would be like, John Farrell.

And it was so embarrassing for me to have to say here, but I go by Will, I don't go by John.
