Good morning in the news this morning. Philadelphia sports fans are being forced to make last-minute changes due to a COVID-19 outbreak affecting multiple sports teams this weekend.

The Philadelphia 76ers struggled to find eight available players, which led to the postponement of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Three games in all were postponed Sunday with the Cavalier Hawks and Nuggets Nets Contests also being called off because of COVID-19 issues.

Monday's Magic Raptors game and Tuesday's Wizards Nets game was also postponed.

The Philadelphia Eagles were forced to move Sunday's game to Tuesday due to an outbreak impacting the Washington football team.

23 Washington players were unavailable due to COVID-related issues, including both the starting and backup quarterbacks.

Sources tell ESPN this is optimism. There is optimism.

The Sixers will be able to resume play in Boston tonight.

League sources told ESPN earlier this week that

the NBA and National Basketball Players Association were discussing a plan that would require

teams decimated by COVID-19 to sign additional replacement players to avoid games being postponed.

It's weird because I thought the NFL PA, I thought they'd come to an agreement that they weren't going to do this, right? That they wouldn't do this, that you would have to forfeit a game, you know, and I saw like documents signed as a result of this. And I think the Players Association got involved and then they kind of caved. I'm sorry. I think part of it was if the outbreak was started from a player who was unvaccinated. Yeah, and it was. A Montes Sweat was unvaccinated. So that is officially being said? Well, that's what I had read. What if the outbreak is from a vaccinated player? Is there a different protocol? I guess from what Marissa's saying. Well, so this was a big conversation to me and my friends in our tailgate. We had a friend who flew up from Florida. He, like, bought a plane ticket just for yesterday. Our whole tailgate is, like, blown up, obviously. We're a little mad, as you can tell. And the reason I say, Casey, is because we weren't sure if the Washington football team is covering it up.

Yeah.

And so I, who knows?

And they're a shady organization to begin with.
