Good morning in the news this morning.

Educators and students are taking steps in response to TikTok posts, warning of shooting and bomb threats at schools around the country Friday, even as

officials issue assurances that the viral post aren't considered credible, according to CBS

news. The social media threats had many educators on edge as they circulated in the aftermath

of a deadly school shooting in Michigan, which has

been followed by numerous copycat threats to schools everywhere. The vague anonymous posts circulating

online warned that multiple schools would receive shooting and bomb threats. School districts around

the country stepped up patrols in some areas and alerted parents or both school officials in numerous

states, including Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Montana, New York, and Pennsylvania said that there would be increased

police presence on Friday because of the threats.

We had in our school district last week a little note that was sent out that there were some, you know,

rumors surfacing on social media that I think it was part of this?

Something was going to hit. No, this is before this. This was last week that there was something that was going to happen. And, you know, they found out to not be credible, but that's still floating out there. It's still. He scared crap. You know, Nick, and I think you said there was something that you had heard of as well elsewhere. And then we got another notice yesterday from the school district saying that this thing is happening.

I'll give the school districts a lot of credit because they are being really communicative about

all of it they're letting parents know yeah and then allowing parents to you know inform their own

kids and then they grow on their decisions but at the end of the day it's just scary and also

stupid you know one of the well here's the deal. Years ago, you know, you couldn't do something like this. Now you just simply post on TikTok a thread, and you're locking down a school. And it's got to be taken seriously. Yeah, it has to be taken seriously. Yeah, Steve, the threats were just much more covert in the past. You know, they would exist, but they would just be written down in a notebook somewhere, and now you can post it on TikTok. Yep. Southeast Delco School District announced it would be closed Friday due to safety concerns at Sandy Run Middle School and Upper Dublin officials say a suspicious message was found on a bathroom wall. A letter to family said an increased police presence will be at Upper Dublin

schools as a precaution on Friday and police are investigating the message in the bathroom.
