Good morning in the news this morning.

A dramatic rescue effort unfolded inside of a burning home in Upper Darby, Delaware County early Wednesday morning.

A total of five adults were injured when the home on the unblock of North Carroll Boulevard caught fire about 1230 a.m.

Officials say three unconscious people were pulled from the flames by police and firefighters.

Two of those victims were rescued from the second floor and the third was located on the

first floor.

Two other residents of the home jumped after climbing out of a second floor window officials

say the fire was placed under control about 1.45.

The five victims were taken to three different hospitals for treatment.

But I mean, they're saying in this case, the police and firefighters are heroes. They pulled all these people out of the house. Just amazing. Penny Marshall, the comedic

actress and director who helmed such blockbusters as big after rising to fame on her TV sitcom,

Laverne and Shirley died Monday evening at her home in Hollywood Hills. She was 75 years old. Bummer.

The cause of death was complications from diabetes.

Her publicist announced yesterday, adding that Marshall died peacefully.

Our family is heartbroken.

The Marshall family said in a statement.

After appearing as Laverne opposite Cindy Williams, Shirley, on the hit 1970 series,

Marshall went on to direct several well-received films.
