Good morning in the news this morning. A new beer tax across Pennsylvania just went into effect.

The used tax, a state brewery on tax across Pennsylvania just went into effect. The used tax,

a state brewery, on state breweries, went into effect Tuesday, and the added cost could pour

onto customers and impact local establishments. It's a 1.5% tax on the brewer, and in Philadelphia,

it's a 2% tax. The money goes to the Pennsylvania General's Fund. Right now, some of the breweries are not

intending to pour that added cost onto its customers, while others say that the tax will increase

their prices slightly, and customers will be paying more. Listen, God bless the generals, but is

anybody taking care of the majors and the lieutenants and all that stuff? Breweries already pay a tax

on the production to Pennsylvania and federal government, a sales

tax, and those in Philadelphia pay a liquor tax to the city.

The new tax does not affect products being sold in beer stores or supermarkets.

New Jersey health officials have announced the first death associated with vaping.

Officials say they were notified in August about an adult female from North Jersey who died as a result of vaping.

A total number of confirmed and probable cases of serious lung disease in the state has risen to 14, including two probable cases.

32 reports of severe lung illness are still under investigation.

The age range of all of the cases and reports under investigation is between 15 years old and 51 years of age. To date, there have been no reports of serious lung illness associated with products sold in dispensaries permitted by the New Jersey Medical Marijuana Program, the New Jersey Health Department says.
