Good morning in the news this morning.

Three pallets of seafood were taken from the back of a tractor trailer in South Philadelphia in the latest cargo theft.

It happened at 3.30 this morning at South 7th Street and Packer Avenue,

placed six men all wearing black masks made off with the large pallets in three vehicles.

Two went north on 7th Street and one went south.

At the beginning of August, thieves took off with a large carton of tuna from a refrigerated truck in South Philadelphia valued at about $10,000.

Philadelphia police say a 63-year-old driver was sleeping in the truck cabin when a security guard woke him up and scared off the thieves.

It happened right outside Samuel's seafood company, and the head of the security said that there were four vehicles involved.

Back in April, a group of thieves robbed a freightliner truck and injured the driver in northeast Philadelphia.

Police say the driver was beaten up when he tried to stop the thieves from stealing $30,000

worth of frozen snow crabs from the refrigerated trailer.

So is this a recent thing over the past couple of years?

Like they're really putting a full-throated effort into robbing large amounts of seafood.

I don't ever remember stories like this.

I think someone is planning a huge party.

Just getting ahead of the curve and it's going to be a citywide thing and everybody's invited.

I think it's a big surprise that's coming.
