And now, Preston and Steve's news update with Kathy Romano. That's day is Tuesday, September 3rd. Good morning, Kathy. Good morning. In the news this morning, a three-year-old boy died after he was pulled from a pond in Chester County on Monday night. It happened just before 7 o'clock at Wilson Farm Park near Lee and Wilson Roads in the Chesterbrook area of Trifuritan Township. According to police, the park was filled with hundreds of people celebrating Labor Day. Officers were called to the scene for reports of a missing child. When the officers arrived, they searched the immediate area and one of the officers located the male in a nearby pond. The child was rescued from the water and rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's King of Prussia

campus. Authorities say he was pronounced dead a short time later. There's no swimming or fishing

in that pond and it's about 100 yards from a playground. Police are now trying to figure out

how the toddler got into the water. The boy's identity has not yet been released, but authorities

believe he is from the area. The sister of Columbus Blue Jackets forward, Johnny Goddrow, paid tribute to him and her brother Matthew

in an Instagram post on Monday following last week's fatal crash.

Katie Goodrow, who was set to get married the day after the crash, shared a family

photo along with the message.

To know these two was to love these two.

There are absolutely no words I have to

express my bond, the bond my family shared. The entire world knows there should have been,

there should, there would never have been a John without a Maddie or Maddie without John.

The absolute best big brothers a little girl could ask for. This will never be a goodbye

post because I will never stop saying your names and honoring you both. I'll take the best care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mayer, Madeline, and your babies. So tragic all the way around and then the sister here has to right on the edge of one of the happiest days of her life, that that happened. I mean, there's so many bad things about this story all the way around. You try to think, what could you say to somebody like that? There's nothing. There's nothing. Yeah. Johnny and Matthew were killed last week in Salem County, New Jersey, when they were struck by an alleged drunken driver while riding bicycles not far from the family's home. 29-year-old Matthew was a hockey coach at his men's high school alma mater and Gloucester Catholic

in New Jersey, and he was also an expectant father.

His wife, Madeline is expecting their first child in December.

According to police, the brothers were riding bikes along County Route 551 in Oldsman Township

at about 830 Thursday when they were hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee

driven by 43-year-old Sean Higgins of Woodstown, New Jersey.
